SIX Securities Services (BSS) provides a range of post-trade services that play a key role in the Swiss and Spanish financial market infrastructures within the SIX Group. Within BSS, are the business activities of multi asset clearing (SIX x-clear and BME), CSD services (SIX SIS and Iberclear) and SIX SIS as an ICSD provides global custody and asset servicing to Swiss and international clients. The BSS business line also operates the third party repo trading platform for the Swiss National Bank (SNB). 

Other business lines of the group, include SIX Financial Information that provides a wide of financial data products/services to global financial institutions and SIX Payment Services that provides a number of payments services and operating the CHF payment system for the SNB.

This new role (Associate Director level), based in London, is part of the London based Sales and Relationship team and reports into the Head of Sales & Relationship UK, Nordics & Benelux.  The focus is on new Sales, Client Management and Business Development of our Core Services (clearing, settlement and custody) into international markets.  As part of a small team, you need to develop a close collaboration between sales persons, product and operational specialists to drive new revenues and cultivate client relationships. 

This Senior Sales Manager role has a particular strategic function to expand the take up of our clearing products – equity, listed and OTC derivatives – to complement the current team expertise. This team member will therefore need to generate new sales and manage strategic client relationships of organisations who require such clearing products. The business development activities operating in a team environment with other Sales and Relationship Managers of BSS, and is required to support other business units of SIX Group.



What You Will Do

  • responsible for new sales opportunities for our Core Services, with particular focus on our CCP clearing services in the team’s geographical area
  • account for strategic relationship management and the client service experience
  • manage overall client profitability                                            
  • responsible for the overall management of service delivery into your assigned client base, working closely with Product Management, Client Services and Securities Operations
  • anticipate and retrieve client needs and requirements, understand them and direct them to the relevant business unit of SIX

What You Bring 

  • build and extend strategic relations on respective levels with Banks, Broker/Dealers and other Client Segments as appropriate, across all products but with a focus on our CCP clearing services
  • actively plan, manage and develop global account plans in collaboration with the existing clients and originate new accounts
  • work with leadership to review or create target lists to drive profitable growth and support the targeting teams
  • drive proposal activity and documentation quality
  • be a role model with regard to building a sales culture in the Securities Services business unit
