Join us as a Clearing Architecture Business Specialist and seize the opportunity to work with SIX Clearing, a key area within the SIX BSS post-trading business unit, responsible for managing risk across the value chain. This involves working with two Central Counterparties (CCPs): SIX x-clear (based in Switzerland) and BME Clearing (based in Spain). Our multi-asset clearing covers Financial Derivatives (including cash equities, FX, and cryptocurrency), Energy Derivatives, Interest Rate Derivatives (Swaps), Cash Equities and Bonds, and Repo.
Within the SIX Clearing Architecture team, you'll join an international, diverse, and dynamic group of experts in clearing systems, products, and services. You'll have the opportunity to participate in various projects involving clearing, collaborating closely with departments such as Product, Risk, Operations, and IT.
What Will You Do
- conduct business analysis for new products, clearing services, and other business requirements, and develop functional specifications for IT implementation
- contribute to the upgrading and evolution of clearing systems, focusing on changes and projects related to regulatory, risk, and growth impacts on Clearing
- define test cases, execute and monitor business testing, ensuring proper testing before deployment into the production environment
- continuously monitor business requirements in projects, small enhancements, or BAU, and ensure systems and applications meet agreed scope and deadlines
- represent and support the Clearing Architecture area in projects and meetings, collaborating with internal teams across all SIX BSS locations and external teams
- undertake regular trips to other SIX Clearing locations
What Do You Bring
- bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration. A postgraduate degree or specific training in Financial Markets is a plus
- a minimum of 3 years of experience in the financial sector, particularly in post-trading or back office areas, with an interest and knowledge of financial markets and products, and some knowledge of systems architecture, systems, and applications. Experience in project methodologies, business processes, or business analysis is advantageous
- high proficiency in English, both written and spoken
- knowledge of agile methodology is considered a plus
- strong command of Office tools and some knowledge of databases (especially Excel, VBA, SQL) is highly valuable
- proactive, collaborative, customer-focused, and decisive, with an analytical, detail-oriented, and methodical mindset. Strong communication and teamwork skills, problem-solving abilities, ownership, and organizational skills to manage dynamic and changing scenarios
