 Financial Controller

As a Financial Controller for the Exchanges Business Unit in Spain you will be reporting locally to Spain, but also to Headquarters in Switzerland as part of the global organization to support and challenge the business on all matters of financial management.

What You Will Do 

  • implementation of the closing processes, including analysis of variances (vs budget and vs actuals)
  • prepare and comment of business unit reports and legal entity reports related to the business unit
  • implementation of forecasting and budgeting (planning) processes and collaboration with Mid Financial Planning (MFP)
  • conducting analyses on an ad-hoc basis (business performance, margins and profitability, etc.)
  • further development and optimization of processes and tools
  • collaboration with other areas in controlling (other business units including Securities Services, CIT and Corporate functions) and with other areas in Finance (General ledger, Purchase to pay, Revenue to receipt) to ensure that the closing data are compliant

What You Bring 

  • bachelor degree, superior technical education or master degree in business administration, accounting, economy or related fields. Any specialization in controlling will be highly valued
  • a minimum of 4 years of experience in financial management or financial audit, with depth knowledge of standard controlling processes such as financial planning (forecast, budget, medium-term planning), deviation analysis and commenting on financial statements
  • knowledge of financial industry, specifically Exchanges is an advantage
  • high English and Spanish level, both written and spoken
  • high level of Excel and Power Point and experience with SAP BI Reporting (Analysis for Office is an advantage), SAP FI/CO. Knowledge of reporting tools (e.g. SAC, Power-BI) is an advantage
  • analytical and conceptional reasoning skills with a team driven and flexible mindset
