 QA & Testing Governance Lead

This role is part of the Program & Service Management function and is responsible for defining and driving common QA and testing governance, standards, and best practices across Securities Services IT. While Test Managers and testing roles are embedded in the different vertical areas, this position ensures a shared “common ground” and consistent quality governance across the organization.
Depending on needs and priorities, the role may also include acting as Test Manager in selected projects within the vertical areas, combining strategic governance responsibilities with hands on delivery involvement.

What You Will Do

  • Define, maintain and evolve QA and Testing governance, standards and best practices for Securities Services IT, with a strong focus on enabling shift‑left quality practices in close collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Establish and maintain a common reference model for test phases, entry/exit criteria, go live quality gates and production readiness expectations.
  • Act as the central coordination point for Test Management practices, fostering alignment and reuse of proven approaches across the different vertical areas.
  • Define and standardize quality metrics, KPIs and reporting, enabling transparency, comparability and data driven decision making.
  • Drive alignment of testing and test automation practices and tooling, favoring enablement models (e.g. shared baselines, self‑service approaches) over purely top‑down enforcement, while balancing standardization with context‑specific needs.
  • Contribute, when required, as Test Manager in concrete initiatives or projects, supporting test planning, defect governance and go live readiness.

What You Bring

  • 7+ years of hands‑on experience in QA, Test Management or Quality Governance in complex IT environments (regulated or mission‑critical contexts are a strong advantage).
  • Proven experience defining and rolling out standards, governance models, processes and metrics across multiple teams or units.
  • Strong understanding of test phases, testing strategies, entry/exit criteria, defect management and production readiness.
  • Solid knowledge of test management and defect tracking tools and evidence‑based quality reporting, including metrics that help connect quality outcomes with delivery performance.
  • Location in Spain, with willingness to travel occasionally to Switzerland.
  • Fluent English (mandatory); Spanish highly valued; German a plus.
