 Senior Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst

BME is the infrastructure of all the securities markets and financial systems in Spain and is owned by SIX.

 

The Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst (CTI Analyst) acts as a research function and drives the business knowledge about Cyber Threats. You will be part of the Threat Intelligence group within the cyber security department, tasked to protect SIX from internal and external threats.
The CTI Analyst keeps up with the continuous change o the threat landscape and associated risks. he works to prevent, detect, analyze and track current and emerging cyber and physical threats. He is actively supporting the Cyber Security and business teams with his knowhow and supporting Business Projects identifying the relevant Cyber Threats.
 

 

 

What You Will Do

  • become part of an international cyber intelligence team 
  • analyze any potential threats to the systems, infrastructure, resources and services critical to SIX/BME. Monitor and cover various sources of information such as open sources, online databases, restricted intelligence sources and identifying actionable areas of interest
  • provide intelligence products and services, and any required support,  to internal stakeholders (SOC & Incident Response, detection and hunting, vulnerability management, third party risk, physical security, corporate security, etc.)
  • conduct research and produce executive reports on cyber security and Threat Intelligence related topics such as current threats, threat actors, evolution of trends in the Threat landscape, vulnerabilities, malware, indicators of compromise (IOCs), tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs)
  • conduct investigations following the intelligence cycle, assist in handling and remediation security incidents, support security related programs by conducting data analysis, assessments, drafting reports
 

What you bring 

  • bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, intelligence, Criminal Studies or related field. Technical certifications like GCTI, GREM, GCFA, GCIH or equivalent are a plus
  • several years of hands-on experience as a threat intelligence analyst and/or incident responder and/or malware analyst, preferably within the financial sector
  • knowledge about processes in the following areas:  vulnerability assessments, DFIR, threat hunting, read and purple teaming, and malware analysis
  • experience in collecting intelligence requirements, creating intelligence products, and disseminate intelligence to key stakeholders, at different levels (tactical, operational and strategic)
  • familiar with threat intelligence platforms, commercial intelligence tools and open source tools 
  • high english level, both written and spoken, with ability to work independently and communicate with different stakeholders
