Software Quality Automation Manager

We are seeking a Software Quality Automation Manager to join our Quality Assurance team at SIX Services in Spain. This role requires a hands-on approach to developing test automation scripts and frameworks while providing oversight on test management activities to ensure the delivery of high-quality software. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in test automation, actively coding and implementing solutions, while also bringing experience in test management practices and being fluent in English and Spanish.
What You Will Do
- Develop & Maintain Automation: Create and manage automated test scripts for GUI, API, and MQ layers to ensure quality releases.
- Framework Ownership: Enhance and maintain the test automation framework for scalability and efficiency.
- Lead Automation Strategy: Define and execute strategies aligned with project and organizational goals.
- Test Management Collaboration: Coordinate test phases, track progress, and manage defect resolution.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with cross-functional, global teams to drive quality and manage risks.
- Code Review & QA: Review automation scripts to uphold high-quality standards.
- Documentation & Reporting: Use JIRA and Confluence to document test processes, results, and defect management.
What You Bring
- Advanced Automation Skills: Proven expertise in test automation across GUI, API, and MQ using Selenium, Cucumber/Gherkin, and Java. Skilled in defining test cases with Cucumber DSL for streamlined automation.
- Deployment & CI/CD Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Test Automation Suite architecture, including integration with Jira (XRay), GitLab CI, OpenShift, and MS-SQL. Hands-on experience managing GitLab CI/CD pipelines with Jira and GitLab runners.
- Test Management & Data Expertise: Solid understanding of test processes, progress tracking, defect resolution, and test data management for reusable, secure automation.
- Communication & Tools: Fluent in English and Spanish (German a plus) with experience using Jira, Confluence, and other Atlassian tools.
- Domain Knowledge (Preferred): Familiarity with the Securities industry is advantageous.
