 Strategic Procurement Specialist

As part of the global Strategic Procurement team, and addition to the local team within BME in Spain 
you are responsible for purchasing IT and other goods and services for the group in Spain mainly but also are involved in international Procurement initiatives. Together with the business stakeholders, you oversee the procurement and sourcing initiatives and you are supporting them in finding the right partners.
You are supporting your business partners in projects in order to achieve the best supplier prices, terms and conditions. You will then draw and execute the most advantageous contracts for the group in cooperation with the legal and compliance department and your business partner. You also achieve benefits through group-wide category and supplier management in close coordination with the Strategic Procurement Team at the headquarter in Switzerland.

 

What You Will Do

 

  • Development of processes, templates and tool requirements
  • Stakeholder and Vendor management
  • Lead Sourcer for all procurement categories with a focus on spend categories such as professional services (e.g. consulting, software development) , IT software and hardware 
  • Leading international supplier negotiations and price discussions
  • Performance of group-wide Category and Supplier management as assigned
  • Identification of cost reduction potentials for products, services and processes
  • Create and evaluate various spend and supplier analyses

What You Bring

  • Degree in IT or business administration ideally with trainings/certificates in procurement
  • At least with 5 years of professional work experience, preferably in Procurement department and/or consulting
  • Strong communication and consulting skills, diplomatic negotiation skills, and assertiveness
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking
  • Self-starter, independent, practical and solution-oriented working method with high quality standards
  • Additional advantage: knowledge of international licensing law and experience in handling procurement-related ERP modules (SAP)
  • Project management skills
  • Very good language skills in Spanish and English (German would be an advantage)
