Windows System Engineer

As Windows System Engineer you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the Microsoft Windows-based systems and infrastructure within the organization.
This role involves ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of Windows servers, and related technologies to support business operations effectively. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in Windows environments, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to system optimization and enhancement.
You will work in a diverse environment in close cooperation with various business units, and both internal and external clients.
This role can be based in Zürich or Madrid.
What You Will Do
- design and the internal IT landscape with special focus on Windows
- deploy and configure software, and network components
- work closely together with internal customers to ensure proper operations and further development of the system, as well as collaborate with other teams (e.g. Operating Systems, Databases, Security)
- identify opportunities for system optimization and enhancement to improve efficiency and reliability
- propose and implement improvements to enhance system performance and efficiency
What You Bring
- proven experience with Windows operating system as well as SCCM/SCOM
- good experience with Automation (PowerShell) and Security topics (Vulnerabilities, SCB, Patching, Microsoft defender)
- effective communication and collaboration abilities
- experience working in Financial / Trading sector would be a plus
- very good verbal and written English (and some German or Spanish as an advantage)
