DevOps Engineer

Our centralized Software Development LifeCycle platform, based on GitLab and JFrog Artifactory, provides core capabilities to software developers across SIX. We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to maintain and evolve our GitLab platform and enhance our GitLab components with related tooling, that empower product teams across the organization to increase efficacy and code quality.
What you will do
- take a leading role in maintaining and evolving our corporate SIX GitLab platform running in Azure
- design, implement, and manage GitLab components and configurations (groups, projects, runners, pipelines, templates, shared libraries)
- build and maintain shared CI/CD pipelines, reusable templates, automations and best-practice patterns for delivery at scale
- implement and maintain GitLab Runners (Kubernetes, autoscaling, Docker, Shell) with enterprise-grade reliability and security
- drive continuous improvement through automation, AI solutions, self-service capabilities and feedback loops
- create documentation, runbooks, and internal enablement materials; deliver training and provide Tier 2/3 support for GitLab and related tools
What you bring
- 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE, with focus on GitLab administration and CI/CD. Experience with GitLab Premium or Ultimate features is a plus
- proficiency with CI/CD concepts: branching strategies, pipeline as code, artifacts, environments, approvals, and compliance controls
- hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), deploying/scaling GitLab Runners on K8s, Prometheus and Grafana
- familiarity with IaC tools (Terraform, Helm) and configuration management (Ansible or similar). Strong scripting and automation skills (Bash, Python or similar)
- strong problem-solving skills, ownership mindset, and ability to work cross-functionally
- team-player with good verbal and written skills in English
