General Ledger Accountant

We are looking for a Specialist Financial to join our General Ledger (GL) team in Poland. In this role, you will support the preparation and analysis of financial statements, collaborate across departments, and ensure accurate and timely reporting.
The GL team manages all general ledger accounting processes and regulatory reporting for Swiss and international SIX companies. You will take ownership of monthly and annual closing activities for selected legal entities and ensure compliance with local GAAP and IFRS. In addition, you will contribute to centralized GL tasks such as FX valuation and asset accounting.
This role offers the opportunity to work in an international environment, collaborate with diverse teams, and actively contribute to process improvements.
What You Will Do
- Handle daily accounting activities, including booking and reconciling transactions
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities for selected entities
- Prepare financial statements in line with applicable GAAP and support audits
- Contribute to ad-hoc tasks and cross-functional projects
- Take responsibility for centralized GL processes (e.g., FX valuation, asset accounting)
What You Bring
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in a GL role
- Knowledge of Asset Accounting (experience considered a strong advantage)
- Proficiency in English; German is a strong plus
- Solid experience working with SAP
