Intern Software Engineering - Data Intake (80-100%)

We are looking for a motivated team player to join SIX for a six- or twelve-month internship. The role will be based at our Warsaw office. You will join our Data Intake Team and assist them with migrating financial data feeds that are currently fed into our system using a SIX proprietary DSL (domain-specific language) from an older version to a more recent one. This will enable us to code the business logic of the feeds faster and overcome several serious issues, such as "embedded C code". In order to support the development of your skills, we will pair you with a technical buddy.
What You Will Do
- daily programming of financial data feeds in an agile environment
- modernizing the old DSL implementation
- improving unit test coverage in the system using TDD methodology
- working within SAFe framework
What You Bring
- knowledge of C and C++ development
- familiarity with Linux systems
- basic knowledge of computer science, e.g. algorithms and data structures
- basic knowledge of financial information will be a plus
- fluent English
