Site Reliability Engineer

Join SIX Index IT, the core team responsible for calculating all indices, including "SMI," within the Swiss exchange. Our international team, representing over 10 nationalities, is on a trajectory to evolve into a global index provider. The index platform we maintain is indispensable to SIX, intricately linked with the exchange, where neither can function independently.
As a Site Reliability Engineer, you'll play a vital role in safeguarding the operational service and stability of the SIX Index service.
What You Will Do
- actively participate in the day-to-day operational activities, such as monitoring, and incident response
- contribute in continuous improvements such as automation, monitoring etc.
- contribute in compliance driven activities, both internal and external
- participate in index platform projects and initiatives
- participate in on-call rotation and respond to critical incidents in a timely manner
What You Bring
- proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or DevOps Engineer
- proficient in at least 2 programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Bash) & Linux operating system knowledge
- hands-on experience with supporting business-critical production systems
- a solid understanding of the Index / Financial markets / Trading sectors, including related business processes would be an asset
- excellent communications in English, presentation and inter-personal skills
