The General Ledger team is responsible for handling all General ledger accounting processes for Swiss and international SIX companies. 
As Specialist General Ledger, you will be part of the GL team and be processing daily business activities (accounting entries, mapping of interface data, reconciliation, etc.) and contribute to monthly / quarterly / annual closing activities for selected legal entities. 


You will be embedded in an international team and work closely together with different departments within SIX. You should like to communicate with different people, analyze processes and be open to new ideas and changes. Furthermore, you should possess a unique blend of business and technical understanding; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality.



What You Will Do 

  • independently process daily business (management of general ledger accounts, i.e. maintains accounting records by daily booking and reconciling of accounting documents) and 

  • contribute to monthly / quarterly / annually closing by performing dedicated tasks: foreign exchange revaluation, deferrals of costs and revenues (assignment)

  • preparation of VAT statements according local requirements

  • support external advisors in preparation of tax schedules, reporting etc. for foreign entities

  • independent preparation of the statutory financial statements (Local GAAP) and assistance in the auditing process 

  • special clarifications with regard to normal closing activities and other ad-hoc requests


What You Bring 

  • min. 4 years practical experience in international financial accounting & reporting, 

  • at least 2 years in general ledger function

  • experience in financial accounting and reporting closing activities (monthly / annually)

  • experience in SAP (FI / MM) and MS Office

  • education in finance & accounting

  • fluency in English, very good verbal & written PolishGerman would be the advantage
