Play a key role in the Scrum team developing and ensuring the quality of our mission-critical backend data application! As part of the IT organization serving the Financial Information business unit, you'll join this dedicated Scrum team. Our system is the backbone for managing diverse data sources, ensuring exceptional performance and rock-solid reliability as it feeds data to our end-user applications. Your work directly impacts the stability and efficiency of this vital data processing pipeline.

What You Will Do 

  • Design, implement, and maintain API test automation frameworks (REST/GraphQL/ WebSocket) using REST Assured for functional and k6 for performance testing within our Java and JavaScript ecosystem. 
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitLab CI), ensuring continuous quality feedback and collaborating with engineers to enhance testability ("shift-left"). 
  • Troubleshoot application issues identified during testing within our Kubernetes/OpenShift environments and contribute to system/integration testing, including setting up mocks. 
  • Conduct exploratory testing to identify potential issues and continuously improve testing processes, tools, and overall strategy. 
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders in an Agile environment to ensure high-quality deliveries. 

What You Bring 

  • Proven experience developing test automation solutions using Java and JavaScript, with solid hands-on expertise in REST Assured and k6 for API functional and performance testing. 
  • Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins and/or GitLab CI), version control (Git), and testing applications deployed in containerized environments (Kubernetes/OpenShift). 
  • Strong understanding of testing methodologies such as system/integration, mocking, and exploratory testing. Familiarity with BDD concepts (e.g., Gherkin) and direct pipeline implementation experience is advantageous. 
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, a proactive problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work effectively within Agile/Scrum teams. 
  • Exposure to related technologies is beneficial, including Infrastructure as Code (Helm/Helmfile), observability tools (Grafana/Prometheus/ELK), contract testing, or basic security principles.
