As responsible for the application IT operations team for SIX Swiss Exchange, you will be part of a dynamic team. The pivotal role involves overseeing the operations of critical applications in a large IT environment.

What You Will Do 

• lead the application IT operations team, provide guidance, mentorship, and instruction to the DevOps team. Establish values such as collaboration, communication, service consciousness, motivation etc.

• ensure the operational service level and stability of the applications for the SIX Swiss Exchange

• collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations and information flow

• identify and implement opportunities to improve and automate operational tasks in the entire application landscape

• improve DevOps processes, identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for automation or optimization, and implement the solutions

• strategy development for a shared future with our sister organization responsible for the BME exchanges

What You Bring 

• 5+ years of experience managing a team of DevOps engineers in an Agile environment with a higher educational achievement in software engineering or a technology related field

• experience with modernizing the operational aspects of legacy applications and implement automation tools and frameworks (CI/CD pipelines)

• proven experience in managing either observability tools such as monitoring platforms (e.g Prometheus, Grafana etc.), logging solutions and distributed tracing to provide insights into system and application behavior, or managing CI Automation tools such as Azure DevOps, GitLab/Github, Ansible, ArgoCD

• experience working on Production environments taking into consideration customer uptime, disaster recovery plans & incident troubleshooting

• fluent in English (both verbal and writing), moderate German, Spanish is a plus
