Head Legal Exchanges and Banking Services (100%)

As Head Legal Exchanges and Banking Services, you are responsible for the management of the specific legal and regulatory risks and legal entities of two (out of four) Business Units (BU) as well as the management of two teams of legal professionals.
You report to the Group General Counsel and are a member of the Legal & Regulatory Leadership Team (LLT). You are also the lead legal adviser to the BU Heads and their respective Management Teams.
What You Will Do
As Head Legal Exchanges and Banking Services:
- Act as legal expert in the areas of laws and regulations specific to the BUs.
- Manage (identify, assess and mitigate) the legal and regulatory risks specific to the BUs.
- Support the management of non-specific BU legal and regulatory risks.
- Manage the BUs legal entities, incl. corporate and regulatory filings, according to the framework set by the Governance team.
- Manage the regulatory matters of the BUs according to the framework set by the Regulatory team.
- Establish BU-specific legal and regulatory standards and processes to ensure a globally coordinated and efficient handling of legal and regulatory matters.
- Adopt the Legal & Regulatory function (the Function) standards and processes.
- Manage two teams of legal professionals.
- Achieve budget objectives.
As member of the LLT:
- Actively participate in the management of SIX Group’s material legal and regulatory risks and initiatives and in the setting, monitoring and continuous enhancement of SIX Group legal and regulatory framework.
- Work collaboratively with the members of the LLT to implement the Function’s strategy and key initiatives.
- Act as a role model of SIX Values and the values of the legal profession and in particular: independence, impartiality and integrity. Coach others.
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills.
- Promote the Function internally and externally, including by representing SIX in external events.
What You Bring
- You are a qualified lawyer.
- You trained and qualified in a law firm and bring at least 15 years of experience.
- You have excellent analytical and drafting skills.
- You have legal and regulatory expertise relevant to the BU core activities (exchanges and payments).
- You have experience in managing international teams of legal professionals.
- You have experience in managing legal entities and regulatory matters.
- You have experience in establishing global standards and processes.
- You are recognized as a leader, with strong collaborative skills, an eye for details and pragmatism. You value simplicity over complexity. You value discretion and efficiency.
- You can act as a change agent, demonstrate courage and a sense of urgency.
- You are fluent in English and German, Spanish is a plus.
