Head of AI Portfolio and Governance (100%)

SIX is establishing a group-wide AI Enablement Center to accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence and translate AI opportunities into measurable business, customer and market outcomes.
The Head of AI Portfolio & Governance is responsible for establishing and managing the enterprise AI portfolio and governance capabilities across SIX.
What You Will Do
- Ensure that SIX has a reliable view of its AI initiatives, including ownership, lifecycle status, investment, expected and realised value, and governance status.
- Establish consistent governance from idea through production and retirement, with processes proportionate to risk.
- Establish portfolio reviews and senior management reporting on AI activities, investment, value and risk.
- Identify duplication, opportunities for reuse and common capabilities across the portfolio.
- Establish clear ownership, decision rights, escalation paths and documentation requirements for AI-related risks.
- Translate regulatory and policy developments into practical governance requirements, including risk classification, decision rights, approvals, escalation paths and documentation.
- Conduct AI governance assessments and coordinate reviews with Risk, Compliance, Legal, Data Protection, Information Security and other control functions.
- This is a hands-on founding role. Initially establish and operate the portfolio and governance processes directly and gradually build the team as demand grows.
What You Bring
- 7+ years of practical experience in AI or technology portfolio management, AI governance, digital transformation, risk or a related field.
- Strong understanding of AI technologies, their business applications and associated risks.
- Experience establishing and operating portfolio management processes, governance frameworks or related functions in complex organisations.
- Strong commercial and analytical judgement, including experience with business cases, investment tracking and value realisation.
- Strong understanding of risk management and regulated environments, with experience working across business, technology and control functions.
- Comfortable personally running workshops, assessing use cases, conducting governance reviews, preparing portfolio reporting and working with incomplete information.
- Experience setting up new teams and strong people management experience in international organizations, with the ability to establish processes and operating models from the ground up.
