 Senior Corporate Governance Counsel

SIX is looking for a Corporate Governance Counsel (100%) to help strengthen corporate governance across the Group. The role is of mid-level seniority, with room for learning and development.

In this role, you will work closely with the Head Legal Governance and the Governance teams in Switzerland and Spain. You will help shape governance standards, support legal entity management, and improve key governance processes across an international group.

The Group accounts for 70 entities, 21 of which are regulated by financial regulators and/or national banks, in, Switzerland, Spain and the UK.

 

What You Will Do

  • Support Board and committee meetings by preparing materials, drafting minutes, managing formalities and shareholder liaisons.
  • Advise on corporate governance across the Group, while supporting legal entity matters, including set-up, acquisitions, and reorganisations.
  • Review and maintain governance documents by developing policies, templates, and processes, including signature authority.
  • Drive governance projects and improve workflows, including the use of AI tools.
  • Maintain documentation and ensure proper archiving, while also preparing memos, presentations, and deliver training to stakeholders.

What You Bring

  • Have at least 5 years of corporate governance experience in Switzerland.
  • Experience in establishing standards and processes across a group of legal entities incorporated in different jurisdictions.
  • Write clearly, work in a structured way, and turn complex topics into practical solutions.
  • Recognized as a team player with strong collaborative skills, an eye for details and pragmatism.
  • Confident using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, and you are comfortable working with AI tools.
  • Eager to continuously learn and develop & welcome feedback and guidance.
  • Fluent in English and German.
