 JavaFX Developer

You want to code for one of the most technologically advanced and innovative and stable stock exchanges? Are you ready to work at SIX? We need your engineering skills and passion for designing and implementing new features with great user experience. In your position you will be a key player of the Trading Application Development team contributing and driving GUI development and UX design of our products. Your main role would be as a Senior Software Engineer for JavaFX. This position is based in Zurich but we are a,lso open for someone working from Geneva or our Madrid Office (Spain)
 

 

 

What You Will Do 

  • exert your excellent developing skills in JavaFX with focus on front-end development in the area of data analytics based on big data technology
  • translate user expectations and business requirements of SIX Exchange Regulation as our customer into state-of-the-art user flows and design ideas 
  • work closely in an interdisciplinary team of data engineers, big data specialists, product owners and business stakeholders and convince them of your design ideas and solutions
  • take the leadership role in the solution design of the applications from a front-end perspective 
 

What You Bring

  • at least 4 years years of professional hands-on experience in software engineering, with focus on front-end development in JavaFX. Skills in data analytics with Cloudera and Sparks, Angular, JavaScript and Typescript would be beneficial.
  • very good understanding of design aesthetics, layouts, responsive design and user experience in combination with knowledge of data analytics and statistical analysis
  • positive, initiative and result-driven attitude with a high sense for quality, systematic thinking and a problem-solving mindset 
  • good and effective verbal and written communication skills in English, German is a plus but not mandatory, communicative, team-oriented and resilient personality
