We are seeking a Lead Application Engineer with a strong background in Java development to drive our market listing and market access engineering initiatives. In this role, you will be an integral part of the Trading Application Development team, focusing on the backend development of our trading platforms to enhance functionality and user experience:
What You Will Do
- Lead and innovate in full stack development for primary and secondary market trading applications.
- Utilize your advanced Java skills to drive backend development, focusing on performance and scalability.
- Ensure our applications adhere to both internal and external regulatory standards.
- Design cutting-edge solutions by translating complex user expectations and business requirements into practical, robust software architectures.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of developers, testers, product owners, and business stakeholders within an Agile framework (SCRUM and SAFe), guiding and mentoring team members throughout the project lifecycle.
What You Bring
- Over 5 years of professional experience in software engineering, specializing in the development of multi-threaded Java applications (Java 8+, Spring Boot, WildFly, SOAP, and REST services).
- Profound expertise in database management, proficient with SQL and Hibernate, and familiarity with event-based messaging systems.
- Strong foundation in object-oriented design, coupled with a thorough understanding of database architecture and the potential integration of financial protocols like FIX.
- A proactive, results-oriented attitude with a meticulous approach to quality and problem-solving.
- Exceptional communication skills and resilience, with the ability to lead diverse teams; proficiency in English and Spanish is advantageous.
