What You Will Do    

•    support analysis activities for data initiatives (market data), assisting with requirements gathering and helping translate business needs into clear, structured documentation 
•    help maintain data mappings and transformation rules (normalization, enrichment, identifiers) under guidance, and contribute to keeping documentation accurate and up to date
•    support the documentation of API and messaging-based integrations for real-time and batch delivery, learning key concepts and assisting with interface specifications 
•    contribute to acceptance criteria and support testing activities (e.g., test cases, data checks) for data pipelines and data products 
•    work with senior analysts and delivery teams as an interface to stakeholders, supporting backlog refinement, capturing actions, and helping clarify requirements in an agile, international environment 

 

 

 

What You Bring  

•    bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (or equivalent practical experience) and initial experience (up to 2 years) in a Business Analyst, data, technology, or operations role preferably in Financial Services 
•    basic understanding of real-time and batch data delivery concepts, with interest in API/data integration patterns (e.g., REST, message buses) and willingness to learn on the job 
•    interest in market data and financial instruments/identifiers, and an understanding of the data lifecycle (ingest, normalize, store, distribute); able to support impact assessments for supplier or source changes
•    ability to validate and analyze data, with confidence working with spreadsheets and large datasets; SQL or similar querying skills are an advantage 
•    familiarity with requirements/specification techniques (e.g., user stories, use cases) and attention to detail when documenting mappings and transformation rules 
•    comfortable working in an agile environment and using common BA tools and methods, with strong communication skills and the ability to ask the right questions; fluency in English (French is a plus)
