Business Development Specialist with German (80-100%)

In this role, you will take on the business development responsibility for the world of payments and standards at the intersection of banks, corporates, and financial market infrastructure. SIX operates Swiss Interbank Clearing (SIC), the foundational payment system of Switzerland, on behalf of and under the supervision of the Swiss National Bank. Through SIC, financial institutions process customer and interbank account‑to‑account payments, instant payments, and upstream and downstream processes such as billing and fraud prevention in Swiss francs efficiently, securely, and in real time - in Switzerland, across Europe, and worldwide. You will help shape how the Swiss financial center communicates about payment standards in Switzerland, innovative payment services, and initiatives that advance regulatory harmonization as well as interoperability across payment systems.
What You Will Do
- develop go-to-market strategies and communication plans for payments and standards initiatives aligned with the Banking Services marketing strategy
- translate complex technical and regulatory topics into clear, compelling content for diverse audiences across digital and media channels
- manage and publish content across customer communication platforms, ensuring a clear and intuitive web architecture
- plan and execute campaigns, webinars, events, and LinkedIn activities in collaboration with internal teams
- build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and support media relations and external communications activities
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in communications, languages, social sciences, humanities, or business
- strong writing, storytelling, and project management skills, with experience in communications or marketing
- high interest in payment systems, financial markets, and regulatory topics, with the ability to simplify complexity
- structured, reliable, and proactive working style, with strong ownership and collaboration skills
- fluent in German and English (spoken and written); French is a strong plus
